Gossip Girl – what absolute trash!

Courtney Cox is shown as a very poor actress in Gossip Girl .  Everyone in the show out-acts her and she’s extremely wooden.

I’m sorry, but you were good as a tag on to Friends but disappointing on your own stage.  Maybe it’s best she did some acting classes at pro-level of course – Madonna proved you can do anything if required in Evita.

 

The Apprentice – new season on BBC2

Whoa!  What a bunch of price anus’s they picked for this show.

Episode 1 – sell fish – not one of the girls or boys got the pricing right and ended up giving it away.  DUH!

Episode 2 – the girls priced 1000 pillow cases to be cleaned and ironed at £5 per case.  Fairly stupid when you could buy new ones less than £1.

Seems the people, or hoy-paloy are lacking in some basic skills such as ‘the price of fish’ and ‘the price of anything’.

My first thing before meeting a hotelier to pitch for cleaning 1000 pillow cases would be (a) to find out the right price, pitch a little higher and let the hotelier beat me down or (b) ask the hotelier what they pay for the service and beat it by 5-10%.

I think the word is ‘nugget’ to descrive the apprentice cats.

Eastenders storyline…at the end of the line?

Disaster in Albert Square at Christmas…no wonder…it’s Eastenders.

If it wasn’t bad enough your dad sleeping with your wife, a fatal car crash wipes out another cast member.

Please turn off if this comes on….it’s badly filmed and badly scripted, although the acting is OK.

My TV hard drive failed!

As you may or may not know, I store most of my TV on my hard discs/PC and use a Pinnacle Show Center to stream it to my TV.  Well, I went to access the latest Prison Break and whammo, the hard drive was gone.  Not registered in Windows and didn’t show on bootup.

 Aaargh fukety fuk!

Quick scour on the net and found that there was no way I could recover my data with software.  Instead I needed what was referred to as a ‘data recovery’ company.  So onto the net again, mining for data recovery companies.  Fees for data recovery seemed to range widely but I found that most did ‘no data recovery, no fee’. 

Anyway, I finally chose a data recovery company, namely 123 Data Recovery  Spoke to a nice guy Steve at 123 Data Recovery and he told me they could recover 100% of my data…bonzer!   Sent my 400gig hard drive off to 123 Data Recovery, 48 hours later it was back and ALL MY DATA WAS RECOVERED! 

I’ve now got my hard drive RAIDed so it has a mirror image of the hard drive at all time – stops me for spending another £100 on data recovery.  Again thanks to 123 Data Recovery for getting my data recovered A1. 

Lost not returning till 2008

‘Lost’ isn’t returning till Jan 2008.  Cheeses, that’s a looooooooong wait.

However, they promise to run the epsiodes concurrently with a break per season.

The season finale is supposed to be 2010.  Apparently the impatient yanks were complaining there was no end in sight, they have such short attention spans….

Escape to the country…

…or whatever it was called.  Two maniac house restorers who restored an old school in Scotland into house/tea room / antiques shop.

 Amazing drive and lack of resilence but the woman got a bit teary at the bad stages.

In the end they restored it well and I wish them all the best.  At last a TV programme that was actually worth it.

Nothing to watch on TV….

TV has been cack recently, as we get deep into summer.  No Prison Break, Lost, Desperate Housewives – even the Apprentice has finished.

We’re left with the poor STV effort Tycoon and er, Hogan Knows Best….hmmmm….

The Riches has turned out to be disappointing and aside from reruns of How Clean Is Your House…there’s little to report.

Lost – Thru the looking glass part 2

Well, guess what guys…Charlie bites it.  Thank fook.  I’m just sick of that little wining hobbit. 

He does die saving his friend. But that doesn’t stop him being annoying!

Turns out Penny’s (Desmond’s girlfriend) ship is not off the coast.

My thoughts are it’s Penny’s father, who’s come to ‘execute’ Desmond.

 Or something spooky along those lines.

Lost – thru the looking glass part 1

I wondered why Lost ended a bit abruptly the other day, it turns out Episode 23 is in TWO parts.  Duh!

 So I have the 2nd part still to watch…..

So far it looks like Charlie’s nads are in the chopper…but Desmond just might save the day.

Savouring the final episode as I know I’ll be ‘Lost’-starved for months after.

Black Donnellys axed!

The Black Donnellys has been axed in favour of a reality TV show.

The f*cking sucks!

I wondered when the Irish yanks would complain they were all being portrayed as murdering junkie lying bastards. 

But never mind, the whole series is excellent, if a little racist towards Irish americans, painting them as liars who care about cash no.1.

You can see all the episodes of the series here online however – NBC have fortunately done that for us.
